If you've been envisioning the Droid 4 as a "Droid RAZR with a keyboard," you're in the right neighborhood. Specs for the device have leaked to Droid-Life and true to the earlier rumors, it should feature a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4-inch qHD screen, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, 8-megapixel camera, and a substantial number of cellular standards. All those radios mean that the Droid 4 appears to be a world phone on top of the standard Verizon CDMA/LTE setup. Packing in all those specs and a full five-row physical keyboard make the Droid 4 a full half-inch thick, about the same as the Droid 3. We should also point out that the 4-inch screen is listed as a standard TFT LCD, not a PenTile AMOLED display.
Interestingly, the Droid 4 will also apparently come with a "rear cover removal tool," which implies that the 1785mAh battery will be removable — but that it won't be especially easy to get at it. We also have confirmation that the keyboard is "edge lit," which from the photo looks quite a bit brighter than your standard backlit keyboard. The latest rumors peg the release for the Droid 4 on December 8th, which seems perfectly reasonable given that training materials for the smartphone have been distributed to reps already.
